Haddie, Louie and I went to the zoo yesterday with some friends and we had the best time. She is really getting into seeing all of the animals now and loves getting in and out of her stroller to look at them! Yesterday, she really took to the flamingos though! It was so funny. She kept copying them by standing on "won lehh" (aka ONE LEG) and holding her neck down to her chest like they do! I was cracking up. She brings so much joy to our life!
Also, last night I told Haddie we could go to Wal-Mart to pick out some Elena of Avalor things for her Birthday this Friday. She only wants Elena things - "no mouse" - not a a Micky Mouse party as she has let us know. She was so excited to get to Wal-Mart and was dancing in the aisle saying "elena, elena" when I come to find out they had NO Elena party items! ugh.. the worst feeling as a mom. We then went to the cake and cupcake section and again.. no luck. I guess Elena is too new of a Princess for party supplies! So then.. we bought Haddie a cupcake and she was pretty happy about that, and took her to Party City. Party City has no Elena items either in the Disney section and I'm just about to go explain to Haddie our new plan to order them on the computer when I see a little display of 50% items. There are like 2 sets of plates, 1 set of napkins, and a set of cups. BINGO. Haddie is thrilled and is excited to eat on them tomorrow for her 2nd birthday! I can't believe it. She carried those items up to the counter and then carried her bag out of the store so happy. It's so fun buying things when they get so excited.. and even better when it only costs $5! ha
I can't wait to celebrate my sweet little 2 year old tomorrow!
